Kuusamo’s 2022 Annual Lure Taimen Super features an unusual scale pattern that allows light to reflect uniquely to the environment. The free-moving section in the middle of the lure alters its traditional swimming action, thus provoking fish to attack the lure. For added gloss, the Annual Lure is coated with 24 karat gold. Kuusamo’s annual lures are popular collector’s items and very appreciated as gifts by any angler. They are, of course, also well-suited for fishing.

Kuusamon Uistin was born out of the dream of two friends. The two Paavos, Paavo Korpua and Paavo Putila had been enthusiastic fishermen and good friends since their youth. The only thing missing were lures that they liked, to which the solution was making their own fishing equipment – that was the way things were usually done in those days. The lures turned out to be very effective outside Kuusamo as well, and so the two Paavos could finally fulfill their dream and start their own business Kuusamon Uistin Ltd. in 1967.

Kuusamon Uistin lures are manufactured in Finland. Kuusamon Uistin has developed its manufacturing processes to ensure that even though they handle various substances that are hazardous in themselves, they are prevented from entering the environment. All waste produced during the manufacturing process is recovered and delivered to appropriate locations for processing. The materials used in manufacturing are also such that no harmful substances are released into the environment by the lures.
