Rapala BX Brat is precision depth lure intended primarily for perch. The Rapala BX Brat plug has a wild, kicking swimming action that is highly audible and visible under water. In addition, the plug can withstand high speeds that is key when fishing for perch. The lure’s action is also excellently suited for pike fishing in warmer waters, so the Rapala BX Brat is also recommended for trolling in pike waters.

The Rapala BX Brat plug is a so-called “crankbait” lure, which allows bottom contact during fishing. The body, position, and lip of the lure protect its hooks, preventing them from getting caught on the bottom. This makes it possible to attract perch and other fish as well by touching ground during swimming.

Rapala plugs equipped with a lip are tested and their swimming action is tuned manually. Rapala plugs are equipped with high-quality VMC hooks. All Rapala plugs come from our factory in Vääksy, Finland, where our product development research is also located.

The number, for example 03, included in the name and the packaging of the Rapala BX Brat does not refer to its length, as usual, but instead means the swimming depth:
• 03 – swimming depth of 3 feet, i.e. approx. 90 cm
• 06 – swimming depth of 6 feet, i.e. approx. 180 cm
This information can be used to fish more precisely in your preferred depth to catch more and BIGGER fish.
