The Finnish outdoors magazine Erä has picked the Salmo Hornet as the lure of the year twice, first in 1999 and again in 2002. It is a small and extremely strong-kicking sinking plug that is ideal for catching trout, perch, whitefish and grayling. The lure swims at a depth of 1.5 m when cast and at 2.0 m when used for trolling. Recommended fishing line: 0.14-0.20 mm. The Hornet retains its effective swimming motion even when used with a leader wire.
