Product Details
TUME-lure 15cm is a great general-use lure with an asymmetric design for trolling for zander and pike. It features a curved lip and comes in dozens of colorways, including painted, foil, and holographic designs.
The lure dives down to a depth of approximately two meters and the lure’s swimming action consists of narrow kicks and strong side-flashes, with added side to side movement once the speed picks up. This action is particularly favored by zander. The curved lip means that the lure will not dive too deep, which means that it is at home in shallower waters. Used with weights, the lure also works well in deeper water.

Tuomas Tolonen, the founder of TUMEfishing, shares the story of TUME-lure:
“TUMEfishing got its start at the turn of the millennium when I received my first spinning rod and a single lure. After a while my interest was somewhat piqued and I had no other option but to go test my new equipment with my father. My first catch was a pike weighing 4 kg. And we all know what that type of a catch will do to a seven-year-old.
I quickly began to make my own lures. My first designs were carved from pine. At that time I had no idea about colorways, but I had seen a red and white plug, so that is what I chose as the color scheme of our lures. This was the start of development intended to produce the best plug in the world.
The carving continued with quickening pace, and new plugs were created using birch, ash, and alder. These woods were however quite tough to work with, so I had to visit a lumberyard in search more suitable material. There I found a piece of balsawood, which could be easily worked by even a ten-year-old.
After a few years spent on rivers, I began to think more and more about trolling. We started to develop a plug that would be effective throughout the summertime, regardless of the weather. We tested dozens of different models and quite quickly began to separate the wheat from the chaff. One of our models particularly outperformed the others. It felt amazing to see fish after fish attacking our lure, even among plugs from the big brands. This meant that we had to produce more of this lure.
The plug was sent to a turner in 2010, and ever since we have focused on developing this model further. Because we wanted to add experiences from other anglers to our own, we gave lures to friends for testing. We received great feedback and valuable tips for how to increase the effectiveness of the lure even further. Today, our lures can be found in waters throughout Finland and some have even made it as far as Australia and South Africa.”
