Product Details
The Wake Pelagear is a lure designed specifically for middle water jigging and it imitates a small, relatively long and thin prey fish with shining sides (think herring, bleak, smelt or vendace, for example). The color schemes are shiny and bright, just as those of the prey fish inhabiting the middle water layers. The Pelagear is especially great for vertical jigging, but it can also be used for regular jigging and drop shot fishing. Thanks to its forked tail the Wake Pelagear can be made to behave in a very minimalistic fashion, which is often very effective especially in colder waters. The Pelagear’s action can be modified to become more lively and sensitive by cutting the ribbons on the lower part of the body. If a jig head doesn’t seem to fit the Pelagear or it creates an unnaturally large silhouette, you can remove the Pelagear’s head from the gill arch onwards. The jig head now fits nicely and it can serve as the lure’s new head.
